Does your child need more confidence to speak out in public?

Through our storytelling & drama classes the children will gain confidence in speaking through group and individual activities.

Does he/she like stories?

There is a new story every week to perform then the children will get to chose their favourite to perform at the end of term performances.

Does your child have literacy difficulties?

No reading or writing skills are necessary to enjoy our classes BUT this work will help to develop these skills - Try and see!

Does your child like performing?

Every term there will be a parent performance in class which will incorporate a choral performance and individual storytelling (when your child is ready to do this).  Once a year there will be a Storyfest when the children will perform to the general public.

Where are the classes and at what age can the children join?

Classes will be starting in January 2009 so please contact me if you are interested in your child (ren) joining a class letting me know where your ideal class may be located and on which day after school would be ideal.  I will be running 2 age groups initially - 5 to 8 year olds and 9 to 13's.

Young Dreams will be the 14's and overs which will be started soon after.

Although this is a new activity to Pembrokeshire, Mandy has run a very successful Drama Academy in the West Midlands where over 550 children were attending weekly classes.

Storytelling is an old form of communication where families would hand down their own family stories through the years.  However, this has died out with the event of new technology taking communication away from families.

These classes are aimed to bring this back into our lives and give children confidence in communicating to anyone they speak .
Mandy was franchisee of the year with her Drama Academy and runs a very professional business using excellent teachers to run the classes.  She is a qualified Speech & Language Teacher teaching children with special educational needs using innovative ideas to bring about success with all children she teaches.
